Slimy Bar Soap Solution

Slimy Bar Soap

Have you ever gone to the sink to wash your hands and picked up a wet, slimy bar of soap? I have and each time I get a feeling of disgust. I switched to liquid soap for a while but with a family of five we quickly filled the recycle bin with more empty liquid soap bottles than I was comfortable with. I thought to myself there has to be a better solution out there.

Then one day I was indulging in my guilty pleasure, watching YouTube home tours. I don’t know about you, but I love to see how other people live. It was there I found this tip, but I can’t recall the  name as I just do random searches. If I come across it again I will be sure to add a link.

Now let’s get to the tip….

The slimy bar solution is so simple that I’m embarrassed for not thinking of it myself. It simple involves bar soap, river rocks or marbles, a soap bowl of your choice. Simply layer the rocks in the bottom of the bowl and place bar soap on top. The rocks act as drainage and allow the soap to dry without becoming slimy.
