2014 is almost here and there are many things I wish to accomplish this year. One of the items on the top of my list is to free up funds to invest in growing Sakura Luxe. I will post more on that at a later date. Like many of you, I’m operating on a budget and have to come up with creative ways to free up funds for things that are important to me.
With that said, I have decided to “Shop My Stash”. Not only will this free up funds it will help my downsize the number of beauty and household products I’ve been hoarding.
My rule is simple; I must completely finish the product or any other closely related product before purchasing another. For example, I have I have 5 body creams and 7 lotions. I consider them to be closely related products so I can’t purchase body cream or lotion until the last of the related product is empty. I will be doing this for beauty products, cleaning supplies, school supplies (unless required by the teacher), pet products, etc. I’m embarrassed to say my list can go on and on due to a not so secret coupon and dollar store obsession.
Have you tried something similar? What was the hardest thing for you to stop purchasing?
