Sautéed kale is a quick and easy side dish that only takes about 10 minutes to make and is great with just about everything. On days that I don’t want to eat meat, I prepare sautéed kale with Parmesan to eat as my main dish without the feeling that I’m missing out on a savory meal. When it comes to kale the possibilities are truly endless.
Here’s what I used:
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 3/4 tsp. Minced Garlic
- 1 small Onion
- 1 bag Kale
- 2 Tbsp. Water
- 1 Chicken Bullion Cube
- Parmesan (shaved or shredded)
Here’s what I did:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet (I use a pot because I double the recipe) over medium heat.
Add the onion and minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Wash Kale and drain. (The bag is already washed but I wash it again)
Add the kale to the skillet or pot along with 2 tablespoons of water and bouillon cube. Cook, stirring often until it reaches your desired consistency. (I like mine with a slight crunch)
Top with shaved or shredded Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
