Ipsy Bag – August

Ipsy BagAugust

First let’s get the introduction out-of-the-way for those who may not have heard of Ipsy.

Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. You fill out a survey about your preferences and with a paid subscription, you’re sent a themed bag geared to your preferences. Each month you get 4-5  full size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag. Once you get your bag, you can review your items online and tell Ipsy what you think to earn points that can be redeemed for items. Contents of the bag may vary.

Now for the fun stuff! I like the bag to be a surprise so I stay away from my glam room and spoilers.

What’s in my bag?

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I was happy to see the mascara. After all a girl can never have too much mascara. I love the Urban Decay brand so I can’t wait to see what this mascara can do for my short, almost non-existent lashes.

Bee All Natural Organic Grapefruit Lip Balm

I love all things grapefruit so I wad thrilled to see the grapefruit lip balm in my bag. My lips become extremely dry during the fall and winter months so this came just in time.

Free Your Mane Reviving Spray

I am disappointed yet again with being sent a hair product. I have updated my beauty profile several times and have provided feedback about the non-African-American friendly hair products. Although you can swap products your unhappy with here, I don’t feel I should have to go through the hassle if I request specifically not to receive hair products.

Lord & Berry Silk Kajal Kohl Eye Pencil

Loved seeing the eye pencil. I’m constantly on the look out to find an eye pencil that goes on easily and smoothly. I can’t wait to give it a try.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo

I wasn’t quite sure what to think about the Sheer Glo, but I’m willing to give it a try, After all, I signed up for this service to try new products I wouldn’t normally purchase on my own right?
