5 Ways to Make Extra Money Online

5 Ways to Make Extra Money Online

It turns out that the Internet is good for more than just reading your favorite blogs and social media. Did you know you can make money off it too? These days more and more people are finding a need to bring extra money into the home. Today I’m going to share with you 5 ways to make extra money online. I should warn you now that while all of the opportunities listed below are legitimate ways to make money, it would probably be unrealistic to expect to make a full-time income from any of them individually.

Mr. Rebates / Ebates / FatWallet (affiliate links)

If you shop online cash back rebate sites like Mr. Rebates, Ebates, or Fatwallet are a must. The way these sites work is you get cash back off qualifying purchase to most stores you already shop. Who wouldn’t like to get money back on their shopping purchases? It’s free to join and best of all, it doesn’t cost you anything extra to shop from these sites. As a matter of fact, you can often find promotional codes for free or discounted shipping, discount coupon codes, etc. I check all three sites prior to making a purchase to see which site offers the highest percentage of cash back for the store I’m shopping at the moment. Tip: Make sure you are linked to the site you wish to use for the rebate. I have gotten mixed up a couple of times and had to go with the lower percentage of cash back due to user error.

Bing Rewards (affiliate link)

If you use a rewards site like Bing Rewards it’s a great way to earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards. Sites like these are  free to join and you simply browse the Internet using their browser and rack up your point until you have enough to redeem for a gift card. Tip: If you have a Swagbucks (affiliate link) you can transfer the qualifying number of rewards points (currently 500 points) over to Swagbucks. When you have enough Swagbucks points you can redeem for Paypal cash.

Sell your service at Fiverr

Fiverr is a global online marketplace that allows you to sell tasks and services, referred to as ‘gigs’ beginning at a cost of $5. There are all kinds of services you can offer from being a virtual assistant to editing documents. The possibilities are endless if you have a little creativity.

Sell clothing and accessory items you no longer wear

Sell items you no longer wear on sites like Threadflip or Poshmark. I bet you have an item hanging in your closet right now that you have either never worn or will never wear again. Why not take this opportunity to get rid of the item and make money at the same time. Totally a win-win situation. Here’s how these sites work….

Threadflip is an online marketplace for selling and buying high-end brands. Upload items to sell on Threadflip via their mobile application or computer. There’s no charge to use their listing service, however, a 20 percent commission will apply for every item sold.

PoshMark is an e-commerce site that accepts anything from pre-owned clothing to unused makeup. Their iPhone and Android app make posting items for sale simple. All you need to do is upload a picture of your garment and once it sells, PoshMark mails you a shipping label to send the item to the new owner. There’s no charge to use their listing service, however, a 20 percent commission will apply for every item sold.

Sell items on Etsy

Etsy provides a marketplace for crafters, artists, and collectors to sell their handmade creations, vintage goods (at least 20 years old), and both handmade and non-handmade crafting supplies. Joining and setting up a shop on Etsy is free. Each item listing on Etsy costs $0.20 USD when the listing is published. A listing lasts for four months or until the item is sold. Once a sale occurs, we assess a 3.5% transaction fee on the item’s sale price. Tip: Consider creating printable calendars, planners, art, invitations, etc. so that you don’t have to worry about inventory storage.

When it comes to making extra money online the possibilities are endless. Let me know in the comments below which option(s) you choose.

Haha! I know the feeling. I have a closet full of stuff and when it’s time to go out I feel like I don’t have anything to wear. The hubby and kids just shake their heads. Enjoy the rest of your week.
